All About Us:
Sooooooooooooo, you may ask, who are we, where did we come from, and why are we here? Here's the skinny...
We are a small company started between sisters in 2011. Although we do not live in the same town, we have found a way to stay in close contact through the power of crafting! (Plus it gives us a reason to get together more often.) The business was started for the purpose of sharing our love of crafting and sewing with everyone. The name was taken from our Grandmother and just seemed to fit our story. She had three girls of her own, our parents had us two girls, and now each of us have two girls. Hence the phrase, 'Superiority will Prevail!'. (That's what she used to tell everyone at least.) So we have a little estrogen running through our family tree. Really... its all good, (our poor husbands!).

So who are we, I mean as individuals? Well let us tell you more about ourselves...
Sarah...
Hello, I'm Sarah. I am the older of us girls, though not by much! Living in Montana and capitalizing on all the associated perks. I am a mom, a wife, part time nurse, self taught crafter, and self proclaimed Queen of the Glue Gun!
I work part time at the local hospital and am home with the kids otherwise (My eldest is in 1st grade and the little one will be off to Kindergarden in the fall). So, short of keeping her locked in the basement to preserve what little time I have with her at home, I cut back on my hours to spend countless hours playing dress up, tea party, and any other assortment of games with my babies. (Yes, I still, and probably always will, call them my babies.)
My passions are crafting, photography, and cooking. We love to spend hours in the kitchen, the girls are the 'biggest helpers'. They help with everything from dinner to dessert. My husband jokes that he can tell the change of seasons because I, apparently, bake excessively in spring and fall. So my children have followed suit, I even think my husband enjoys it. Some of my fondest recent memories include the whole family in the kitchen. (Come to think of it, the majority of our family gatherings occur in the kitchen.)
When we are out of the kitchen we craft. The girls have their own craft basket so when it is time for mommy to work on something they get their basket out and we spread our glitter and paint and glue across the house. (Seriously, have you ever really looked at your house after you cut the glitter loose? It's kind of impressive! Just sayin')
And what do you do in Montana in the winter, well you ski, sled, build snowmen, and any other number of activities you can stand in the bitting cold, then come in for hot cocoa and sit by the fire. (Love it!) Although I am not a skier, my husband is and he prides himself in that he has already taught both girls how to ski. They are so stinkin' cute! And guess who gets to take their pictures.... (Yeah!!)
And finally in the summer we love to camp. We hike, fish, ride the 4-wheelers, eat s'mores, throw rocks in the creek, and generally get dirty for an entire weekend. (Which also gives me a chance to practice my severely lacking photography skills.) What more could a girl ask for?
Anne...
Hello, I'm Anne, the spoiled youngest child. My family lives in Burien, Wa (just 10 miles south of Downtown Seattle) and is also full of girls. I am currently a full time staty at home mom and somehow never find time for much else. I too enjoy the art of crafting including, sewing, creating, and scrapbooking. My sister and I have had a great time inventing new products together and are hoping to be able to work together in this business for a long time to come. It has become so much more than a hobby for both of us.
Although my girls are a slightly youger than my sisters we too enjoy the outdoors. My husband and I would like on the water if we could. We recently picked up wakeboarding and became instantly addicted. I was extreemly jealous last summer when my husband got to spend all the time behind the boat as I was pregnant and could not partake. This summer will be different, and maybe even the almost 3 year old will take a stab at it!
So thats us, in a nutshell. We love that you took the time to stop by and see us an look forward to getting to know you better too!
Thanks,
Yuen Yarn Sisters
