Summer Science with the Kids

Summer Science

I thought it would be fun to have a little bit of science with the kids this summer.  Something they have never seen.  An old trick with some new flare!  And we needed a little pick me up after getting out of preschool a few weeks ago.  I really think they were missing  some learning type stuff.

Bubble Glitter Volcano in a Jar

Heres what you'll need:

vinegar
dish soap
food coloring
gltter
baking soda

Pour some vinegar in the jars

Mix in some food coloring

add a Tbsp or so of liquid dish soap

Add the glitter, as much or as little as you would like.

different colors, different shapes

whatever you like!

Set them outside and get ready for the magic!

Let the kids start adding baking soda to the mix,

The kids loved it!  They had so much fun learning about chemical reactions, and they didn't even know they were learning!

That's the best part, right?!?

I think the glitter really added something, but I always think glitter adds a little something!

Happy Science everyone!
