DIY Chocolate Syrup

Homemade Hershey's Chocolate Syrup

So we ran our of Hershey's syrup a few weeks ago and every time I go to the store to pick some up I either forget or they don't have it.  (i.e. Sam's Club - you know how they change their stock every few months.)  Anyway, after having to her abou tit fo rthe last wekk or so I finally decided to make some.

After all, we're DIY'ers, right?  How hard can it be?

As it turns out, not too bad at all!  All you need is a few staple ingredients and done...

I got the recipe from here...  Homekeeping Adventures  She made hers dark chocolate but I was out of the dark chocolate powder so I used regular and it turned out just fine.

throw all our ingredients in a pot except vanilla of course...

continue mixing about 3-4 minutes after it boils...

and chocolate sauce is done.  It took me a total of like 10 minutes.  How can you not think that is great. And Cheep.  Really, I love all parts of this...

its chocolate, its cheep and its easy....  not unlike some people I... wait, that's not where I was going...

And delicious!!!!  I went ahead and took one for the team here and finished off the bowl of ice cream...

And what a great neighbor gif this would make!  (Sombody knows whate their getting next year...)
