Caramel Sauce

Simple Caramel Sauce

Ok, so here is my super simple caramel dipping sauce.  Seriously, it took me less than 10 minutes to make this, and that includes gathering supplies, making it, and letting it cool.

10 minute Caramel Sauce

2 sticks butter
1 cup sugar
2 Tbsp Molasses
1/2 cup corn syrup

Add all the ingredients to your sauce Poland start to stir. Now make sure you have a big enough pot, sugar and butter will boil up A LOT!

This should only take a few minutes start to finish but you need to stir it constantly so you don't burn it.

Now don't cook it too long, about 5 minutes is all it will take. If you have a candy thermometer you don't even want to take it to soft ball stage.  It will harden too much after it cools. I would say stay below 220 degrees.

And there you have it.  Now, if you want to make it a fancy salted Carmel recipe add about 1 tap salt to the recipe, then I would add a sprinkle on top so they know it is salted as soon as they open it.

And there you have it, what a great gift for your favorite friend!  Or just for you, your coffee, the kids treats, to cover your apples, etc, etc, etc.  Your going to love it, I know!
